Health, Safety and Environment Test
The Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test demonstrates that workers in the construction industry have the required knowledge to work safely on site. It is a requirement for obtaining a CPCS or CSCS card.
The test is essential for anyone working in construction, whether you're an operative, specialist, or manager. It covers crucial health and safety knowledge that helps keep you and others safe on site.
Need your test fast? We need a minimum 48 hours notice before you can test.
Choose the right test for your role
For general construction workers. Covers five core knowledge areas: working environment, occupational health, safety, high risk activities, and specialist topics.
Includes operative core content plus specialised knowledge. Available for demolition, plumbing, highway works, working at height, HVAC services, tunnelling and more.
For site managers and construction professionals. Tests legal and management responsibilities, occupational health, general safety, high-risk activities, and environmental knowledge.
Valid Photo ID is Mandatory
You must bring valid photo identification to sit the exam. Without proper ID documentation, you cannot take the test and will need to reschedule.
