We deliver forklift training to CPCS standard at our Staffordshire training centre — the certification construction sites require. Courses cover stability and load centres, stacking and de-stacking, loading vehicles and yard work, finishing with CPCS theory and practical tests.

Training runs on our own machines with a maximum of two candidates per course, so you get genuine hands-on time rather than watching from the sidelines.

Why train with us?

  • Our own fleet — train and test on machines we own and maintain
  • Max 2 per machine — genuine hands-on seat time, many courses run 1:1
  • All in-house — training, HS&E tests and CPCS testing at one centre
  • 5★ Google rating — 210+ reviews from operators we've trained
  • Established 2003 — over 1,000 candidates trained every year

Which Forklift Course Do I Need?

CPCS A16 (Industrial Counterbalance) covers the standard warehouse-and-yard counterbalance truck operated on construction projects.

CPCS A14 (Rough Terrain Forklift) covers masted forklifts built for site conditions — mud, gradients and unmade ground.

If you need to lift and place with a telescopic boom, that’s the telehandler (A17) — see our telehandler training.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does forklift training take?

Experienced operators can complete training and testing in one day; novices typically need 2–3 days including the CPCS theory and practical tests.

How much does forklift training cost?

CPCS forklift courses start from £345 including machine, instruction and technical tests. We’ll quote an all-in price with HS&E test and card fees when you book.

Do I need CPCS or RTITB for forklift work?

It depends where you operate. Construction sites generally require CPCS; warehouses and factories more commonly accept RTITB/ITSSAR. If your work is on construction projects, CPCS A16 or A14 is the safe choice.
